The Shoulder Of Mutton in Milton Keynes is a grade II listed building which can be dated back to 1790.Originally a butchers and slaughterhouse it then became a local store and post office and more recently a local pub and B & B. 

The Shoulder of Mutton offers a tranquil base from which you can take one of the many popular walks through the farmland around Calverton. Although situated in the countryside it is only a short drive to many activities and attractions in and around Milton Keynes. Spend a day shopping at the Mk Centre where you will find an extensive range of designer boutiques and department stores. For something more active, try Xscape for real snow skiing, AirKix for wind tunnel skydiving or a walk around one of the many lakes. The MK Dons Stadium and Arena is only a ten minute drive away.

Nearby attractions include Woburn Estate with it’s Antiques shops and Safari Park, Towcester Races, Silverstone Grand Prix circuit. Or you could visit the historic towns of Oxford and Cambridge which are both less than an hours drive away. We offer a wide range of drinks to suit all tastes.
