UPDATE 27th November
now that it has been announced that we are in tier 2 the following has to apply:
- individuals can only meet in indoor settings with other members of their own household or support bubble
- businesses must only accept indoor bookings for individuals from one household or support bubble
- businesses must take reasonable steps to prevent individuals from separate households or bubbles from mingling with each other in indoor settings
- we now have to operate as if we are a restaurant. This means serving substantial meals, like a main lunchtime or evening meal. We can only serve alcohol as part of such a meal
UPDATE 24th September : To comply with the new government guidelines masks must be worn at all times in the pub unless seated.
In these strange times we want to assure all our customers that we will strictly adhere to the current government advice relative to our industry.
My priority is the safety of my staff and customers. As much as possible we are trying to provide a relaxed but safe atmosphere for everyone.
We have hand sanitiser stations throughout.
A one way system. Please enter via the front door and exit via the side doors.
Inside we have screens between tables and outside the tables are suitably spaced.
Menu are disposed of after each use.
Tables are sanitised after every use.
All staff are trained in covid service requirements.
Only one person at a time in the toilets.
On arrival please come to the bar where we can take your details for track & trace and allocate you a table.
After taking your first drinks order take your seat and from then on full table service.
Please do not move to a different table without asking as other tables may already been booked and we also need to keep track of which tables need sanitising. We will always do our best to accommodate.
Unfortunately (and as a parent I know how hard this is) children of all ages must always be seated and the children’s play area is closed.
Please do follow the one-way system as this is designed to avoid customers encountering each other as much as possible.
We do advise booking in advance as we are frequently fully booked and have had to turn people away.
Thank you for your patience and we look forward to welcoming you.
